I have notice that when trying to wake up, the use of caffeine and daylight have been helpful (sunglasses help with the sensitivity to light).
I am also on a antidepressant that have also seem to help.
Because when I’m episode free i have insomnia bouts.
I am now 40 years old and the episodes aren’t that frequent, but still here.

My daughter cannot use caffeine, but she does use 10,000 lux light most mornings as well as Provigil and Wellbutrin (daytime only - I know that sounds weird, but that’s how it works best for her). When she is not in some episode she also exercises and maintains sleep hygiene. (Yes, I am really proud of her and rather amazed).

For the insomnia, she uses supplements which doctors told her to use. They have worked VERY well for her.
