Dinner, Dancing & Auction
Our goals are to raise awareness, support scientific research, to find effective treatments, and ultimately find a cure for Kleine-Levin Syndrome.
This is a fundraiser for a rare medical disorder called Kleine-Levin Syndrome (KLS). KLS is a medical disorder characterized by excessive amounts of sleep which usually strikes adolescents. The person becomes extremely fatigued, sleeping for excessive amounts of time; day and night, experiences confusion and disorientation while in an episode. KLS symptoms can last for days, weeks, or months. Those affected are unable to attend school, sports, etc., and are bedridden. In between episodes the person appears to be in perfect health until the next episode arrives. KLS robs young, healthy adolescents of big pieces of their lives, one episode at a time.
