Weather
The conference will be a bit south of San Francisco where the weather is a bit warmer. The average temperature in Burlingame in mid-August is 75°F/25°C with an average high of 80°F/27°C and low of 57°F/14°C.

The weather in San Francisco is complicated and if you ask any local, it will probably take about 20 minutes to explain it. One of the strangest nuances of the city’s peculiar weather is its notoriously cold summers with fog and wind common. After having spent a summer in the city, Mark Twain had said “the coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco.” The average temperatures in San Francisco in mid-August include high of 69°F/20°C and low of 57°F/14°C.

110 to 120 volts AC (60 cycles). Downward converters that change 220-240 volts to 110-120 volts are difficult to find in the United States, so bring one with you.

Travel information (not applicable for US citizens)
All persons traveling by air to the United States are required to present three items: a valid passport, an invitation letter and a B1/B2 visa, unless you are traveling under the Visa Waiver program.

Visa Waiver Program
You can travel under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) if you hold a passport from one of the participating countries and meet the requirements for VWP travel. Business/Visitor Visa
