Spring is here and so is the 6th annual Run for Ryan, a Kleine – Levin Syndrome Fundraiser.  On Saturday April 14, a committee of dedicated volunteers headed by Donna White will sponsor the 6th annual Run for Ryan.  This is a special day in Lancaster, South Carolina that includes a county track meet that draws all the high school’s boys and girls, and helps raise awareness of KLS.  In addition to the track meet there will also be games for children, storytelling, face-painting, raffles, free blood pressure screening, a DJ, barbecue food for sale and more.

This year KLS Foundation board member and KLS patient Dani Farber (New York), KLS patients Cameron Reeves (South Carolina) and Jessica Paige (New York) will share their KLS stories.  There will be a KLS information table with additional information on Kleine-Levin Syndrome.  This event is dedicated to the memory of Donna’s son Ryan Mckinney who passed away from a heart ailment.  Ryan also suffered from KLS.  In addition to raising funds for further KLS research, the Run for Ryan promotes awareness of KLS in the community and throughout the state.
