Yoga in the Park benefit for the Kleine Levin Foundation

On a sunny afternoon on Sunday, September 10th, 2017, the first annual Yoga in the Park with The YOGA Exchange fundraising event to benefit Kleine-Levin Syndrome (KLS) research was held at Goodwill Park in Holliston, MA. It was a great success, and a wonderful time was had by all. A total of 47 people attended the beautiful slow-flow outdoor yoga class, and 64 “virtual mats” were purchased by others who couldn’t be there in person but still wanted to support the event. A bake sale organized by the children of the owners of The YOGA Exchange was held the day of the event in downtown Holliston, which also helped raise funds for and awareness of KLS. In-person attendees included, Jenny Grossman from New Jersey whose son was recently diagnosed with KLS, and fellow Bay Staters, Varda and Neal Farber. We want to thank family and friends—old and new—for their amazing support. 100% of all proceeds from the event was donated to the Kleine-Levin Syndrome Foundation’s research fund and will be used to provide support to medical researchers and scientists who are working to discover and develop effective treatments for KLS and one day a cure. The answer exists; it just must be found. We know this will happen. We have faith, we stay positive, and we will continue to help fund research. Together we can make a difference.
